A billboard campaign created for Champaign Telephone Company that didn't get used...













The second round of billboards created for Champaign Telephone Company
Here was a second campaign created for Champaign Telephone Company. The first campaign which was used by the client can be viewed here. Sadly the second half of the campaign, wasn't used.

The thinking behind the campaign
My goal was to created a "phone world" with a different billboard designs that could be used each month for a year. I wanted each design to tie in to the month, while showing the phones engaged in an activity that would in a sense tell a story about who you could call, or a reason you would call someone.

I came up with the taglines and did all of the photography and design work for this campaign. Using parts of stuffed animals, toys, boxes of Kleenex, and a ton of other stuff as well. I had a blast creating and designing this campaign and was disappointed when the client didn't buy into it.

By the way, my favorite one was the "Call the day after" design created for February / valentine's day. :)

Billboard Campaign created for Champaign Telephone Company in the Champaign Urbana area.








Here's a fun billboard campaign that I art directed for the Champaign Telephone Company. They're a cell phone service provider in the Champaign - Urbana area in Illinois. All the design went up at the same time and where also used on bus pannels as well.

The campaign was based on a similar campaign that ran in Peoria Illinois. The Peoria campaign had four designs, work, mom, dad, and grandmother I believe... and the look of the boards and phones were different.

I photographed a new phone, personalized the phones using the cute faces, and created a few more of the "people and places" where a cell phone could be used or come in handy.

In this campaign I used quite a bit of clip art to personalize the different phones. In a second campaign created for CTC I would use all original photography.

We also finished the campaign with a final design call "Everyone" which featured all the caricatures together in a group.
